1. Steel chemistry matched to the application
Not all “high strength” steels behave the same under repeated high-energy impacts combined with severe abrasion. We select grades that deliver the right balance of toughness and wear resistance for rotor hammers.
2. Heat treatment that actually works in the field
A pin that is too hard will chip or crack. Too soft and it wears out fast. Our cycles are the result of years of real-world feedback from high-volume shredders. We optimize case hardness, core toughness, and residual stress.
3. Dimensional accuracy and straightness
Even small variations in diameter or straightness create uneven loading across the rotor. We hold tight tolerances because misalignment is one of the fastest ways to kill pins (and rotors).
4. Consistent quality, batch after batch
Imported commodity pins often vary wildly between shipments. Domestic steel + controlled processes mean the pin you install in March performs like the one you installed in October.

We start with certified American steel from domestic mills. Every heat comes with mill test reports. Traceability from melt to finished pin.
CNC turning and milling to your exact dimensions. We hold diameter, length, and straightness tolerances that commodity suppliers rarely match. Surface finishes are specified for both function and corrosion resistance.
Custom quench, temper, and stress-relief cycles developed specifically for shredder service. This is where most of the performance difference is created. We document every batch.
Dimensional checks, hardness testing at multiple points, straightness verification. Each pin is marked and ships with its own inspection record. No surprises when it arrives.
